Sammy Waganer is an aspiring composer, music director, and trombonist making waves in Oklahoma City’s music scene. A current Bachelor of Music in Composition student at the University of Oklahoma, Sammy’s commissioned original works and arrangements, including Let It Soar and Nocturne in c# minor, have earned local performances, while his composition Trombeaming was recorded and released by The Jazz Exchange.
At ArtWorks Academy of Performing Arts, he has music directed productions such as Forever Plaid and directed bands for Grease: School Edition and Hadestown: Teen Edition, and his performance highlights include playing trombone in Crazy for You with the University Theatre and recording with the OU Wind Symphony.
